A Darabukka, also spelled as darbuka, is a goblet-shaped drum that is widely played in Islamic classical and folk music throughout North Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Although traditionally it was made of clay or wood, it is now available in metal body and produces a resonating sound when stuck by hand.
